This interesting vintage bowl was hand hewn and turned out of wood with a very distinctive grain and then sponge painted on the 1/2 inch wide rim and the underside in a green that is almost black. It's primitive, sitting tilted at a bit of an angle and aged slightly out of round. It was left unfinished, except that it may have been oiled at some point. The bowl measures 9 3/4 inches by 10 inches across the top, 2 1/4 inches high and weighs 1 1/4 pounds. It's not for food prep, but definitely a terrific focal point on a table or shelf and a lovely addition to a woodenware collection.
