A beautiful hand thrown vase glazed in plum with an accent band of spattered blue around its middle, this vase was made by the Bruning Pottery Company in Snohomish, Washington. The pottery is owned by the husband and wife team of Larry and Judy Bruning. They just celebrated the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the pottery. The vase shows the throwing ridges on the exterior with a very simple cylinder shape and a glossy clear top glaze inside and out, except for the bottom. All of Bruning's smaller vases are made of porcelain clay; you can see the white porcelain peeking out at the bottom of this one. The pottery's mark is stamped in black on the bottom "BRUNING" and the outline of a vase.
The vase is 6 inches tall, has a 3 inch diameter mouth, 2 1/2 inch diameter base and weighs a bit over a pound. It's in outstanding condition, ready to hold your flowers or stand alone as a beautiful accent.
