Artist Signed Pair of Wood Ducks - Hand Painted

This male and female pair of wood ducks was hand painted and signed by A. V. Poverud. Mr. Poverud worked as an artist in the 1970's and 1980's for The Wooden Bird Factory and for Jennings Decoy Company. He started his own company, Poverud Enterprises, in Kerkhoven, Minnesota in 1989. The company was categorized under "Decoys, Duck and Other Game Birds" and incorporated with the state of Minnesota.

The hen and drake are both handsomely painted and detailed. They measure 7 inches long, 3 1/4 inches across their breasts and 3 1/2 inches tall to the tops of their heads. They each weigh 1 1/4 pounds, heavy for their size, as they are made of resin. Both are in excellent condition and display beautifully.
