The vase features raised, white on white decorations of dancing figures, musicians and their instruments, animals, and plants. It was designed by the talented German artist and photographer Kurt Wendler (1893–1980) and first produced by Edelstein in 1957. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile the bright white porcelain with its glossy glaze and its fascinating designs catch the eye, the unusual form of the vase really sets it apart. We have not yet found a name for this inverted shape. The bottom has a stamped green mark that reads \"Edelstein\" underlined and in script, along with \"Bavaria\" and \"Made in Germany.\" There is also a model number impressed in the bottom of the vase. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt stands 10 inches tall, about 5 1\/2 inches across at the shoulder with a 3 1\/2 inch base diameter. It weighs 2 pounds and is in excellent, like-new condition.
