This very pretty tall perfume bottle was hand blown in a classic Victorian shape with its tapering neck, teardrop stopper and bellied bottom. The pontil scar on the bottom, left rough and unpolished, attests to its hand blown origin. The stopper is original, cut to fit perfectly. It removes easily and the base of it is smooth so it can be used to dab some scent on wrist and neck. All but the very bottom of the bottle was frosted then hand painted in red and yellow flowers and ferns, with dusty blue trim. The wear to the paint has nicely aged the charming folk art look.
This perfume is a bit over 9 inches tall including the stopper with a base diameter of 3 inches and holds 1.5 cups (24 ounces). There are no chips or cracks; no trace of scent or any other odor remains, so this beautiful bottle can be used to hold your favorite cologne or simply look lovely on your dresser, vanity or bathroom counter.
