Wall Hanging/Tabletop Large Hammered Copper Aspen Leaf

This large, handsome copper aspen leaf is a versatile decorative item. Two triangles of brass on the back allow the leaf to be hung on the wall, while it can also sit on a table on its three brass ball feet. Its stem is a 3 1/2 inch long twist of copper. The hammered surface of the leaf was patinated front and back with a dark brown glaze, which emphasizes both the dimpled surface and the deeply grooved veins of the leaf.

Measuring 16 ½ inches from the top of the stem to the tip of the leaf, 12 inches across at the widest point and 1 ½ inches high, the piece weighs just under a pound. In excellent condition, with no dents or breaks, the only wear we could find is on the feet and hangers, where the patination has rubbed off in spots, revealing the brass beneath. With its classic good looks, this copper leaf works beautifully with many different décors.
