Mid Century Modern Wood PARQUETRY Hand Made Bowl

A handsome parquetry bowl in with a mid-century vibe, this bowl was hand made of various kinds of wood with different grains and rich colors. The band around the center is composed of rectangles that form an interesting geometric pattern. Sealed with a natural finish, this piece has the maker's mark CK inscribed on the bottom--one we're not familiar with, but obviously belonging to a very talented woodcarver.

The bowl measures 5 inches tall, about 6 1/2 inches wide with a 21 inch circumference and a round base 3 inches in diameter. It weighs 3/4 of a pound and is in excellent condition--no chips, cracks or other flaws. The bowl has a classic shape, more finished and modern compared to the rustic folk art parquetry items we've had. It would be a beautiful fit in a variety of décors.
