This cheerful pottery pot was hand made of white clay and hand decorated in the town of Tonalá, Mexico. The background glaze is speckled blue and the decorations are in varying shades of blue with touches of brown and black. The three chubby feet are unglazed on the bottoms. The black handwritten marks on the bottom read CAT MEXICO and some figures we can't decipher.
This pot is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few small clay lumps inside near the rim that are covered with the blue glaze. The piece stands 5 inches tall, is 2 ¾ inches across the top and weighs about one pound. It’s a really pretty pot to add to a collection or use as a single accent.
